GRE® Subject Tests

The GRE® Subject Tests are seven achievement tests, each measuring knowledge of a particular field of study for graduate and professional school admissions.

The GRE® Subject Tests are intended for students who have an undergraduate major or extensive background in one of the following seven disciplines:

    • Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Literature in English
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Psychology

The GRE® Subject Tests are used to evaluate students for graduate programs, business schools and fellowships.

SAT® Testing Program

The SAT Reasoning Test™ (SAT®) and SAT Subject Tests™ are primarily designed for candidates who will be applying for undergraduate admission to American universities.

The SAT Reasoning Test™ measures skills in three areas: critical reading, mathematics and writing. Although most questions are multiple-choice, students are also required to write a 25-minute essay. The test lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes.

The SAT Subject Tests™ are mostly multiple-choice tests in specific subjects, some of which are English Literature, History, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Foreign Languages. These tests measure knowledge of particular subjects and the ability to apply that knowledge.Each test is one hour long.


TOEFL iBT® is a high-stakes exam. It certifies the English Language competency of candidates applying for undergraduate studies admission to colleges and universities abroad.

The TOEFL iBT® test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. It also evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

The TOEFL iBT® test can be used by:

  • Students planning to study at a higher education institution
  • English-language learning programs (admissions and exit)
  • Scholarship and certification candidates
  • English-language learners who want to track their progress

TOEFL Junior®

The TOEFL Junior® is a low-stakes examination. It helps schools, teachers, and parents track the progress that students are making in the study of the language.

The TOEFL Junior® Test is a general English proficiency assessment that is not based on or limited to any specific curriculum. It is a paper-based test for students aged 11 – 14 designed to measure the following skills:

  • Listening comprehension
  • Reading comprehension
  • Language, Form, and Meaning

The TOEFL Junior® Test can:

  • provide parents and schools with objective information about students’ progress in developing English-language skills
  • serve as a comprehensive measurement that can be used to place students in English language-learning programs that have been mapped onto the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR)
  • assess the English communication skills of students who are considering studying at a school or university in which the language of instruction is English
  • provide appropriate information for low-stakes decisions

TOEFL® Primary™

The TOEFL® Primary™ Tests (Step 1 & Step 2) are low-stakes examinations. They help schools, teachers and parents track the progress that students are making in the study of the language.

The TOEFL® Primary tests (Step 1 & Step 2) are general English proficiency assessments that are not based on or limited to any specific curriculum. They are paper-based tests for students aged 8-11, designed to measure the following skills:

  • Listening comprehension
  • Reading comprehension

The TOEFL® Primary tests (Step 1 & Step 2) are designed to:

  • asses the general English-language proficiency of young students ages 8-11;
  • provide a snapshot of each student’s ability in reading and listening;
  • support teaching and learning by giving information about students’ abilities in relation to a widely accepted international standard.


The TOEIC® Listening and Reading test provides certification for those who want to prove their ability to use English in an everyday or professional basis and it is administered on a weekly basis all over Greece at an examination center near you.

The TOEIC® Listening and Reading test leads the way, providing all-level certification in English. More than 5 million candidates worldwide take the TOEIC® Listening and Reading test each year. The TOEIC® Listening and Reading is the most flexible English language test in Greece, recognised by ASEP and administered on a weekly basis throughout the year.

The TOEIC® Listening and Reading is a multiple-choice test designed to measure accurately language proficiency levels among non-native speakers. The scores achieved by the candidates indicate how well they can communicate in English with others in a social or workplace situation.
